Soren Jahan

I’m a photographer living in Friedrichshain, Berlin.

I grew up in the States, arriving here in 2013 in the hope of finding a place where my interests of DJ’ing and fetish culture could mix freely. I didn’t find the seamless mix I was hoping for, but after discovering photography, I ended up discovering a way to connect with people outside of the blurry dreamscape of nightlife. Physical negatives and prints are my lasting memories of each of these moments, whether they were brief or the result of a lasting friendship or relationship.

I’m mainly interested in fetish portraiture, but also enjoy landscapes and architecture, especially when travelling. I have a small studio at home where I also develop black and white negatives and make darkroom prints, which I also offer for sale. All photos are analog 35mm or medium format. I get color film developed at Pixel Grain and Safelight Berlin.
